Wednesday Committee

Hello all,

I’m excited that a few of you are planning on coming to the hearing, and a couple of you have offered to make statements. I don’t know if its true or not, but I have this persistent concern that our work will be more difficult in the House than its been in the Senate (I’m gonna try and get a seasoned answer to that persistent suspicion so its not a persistent superstition).

Now don’t read this like: whew some other people are showing up so I don’t have to!…no, we need to build some momentum here, especially as we head into the more difficult committees. So come on out and get your feet wet before we have to jump into the deep end of the pool. I don’t know for sure, but if you’re at all like me…its a little intimidating to enter the Capitol or State House buildings. They’re not the most welcoming spaces. But once you’ve rolled or walked around a few times, you realize its your building and desperately needs your voice to be heard in it.

There’s a map below. If you’re coming in a chair, Lot F (just below the State Office Bldg) is probably the best choice. If ur a walking person, then AA across the street is a good choice. Let me know if you’re coming.
