Next Committee Hearing

Hello all,

Well, we don’t get much notice. I found out this morning that the next hearing will be the HHS Policy Committee on the House side on Wednesday, February 27. The Committee meets from 2:15-3:45 in Room 200 in the State Office Building directly to the west of the Capitol (there is a pay lot directly across the street and metered street parking as well), map here . For planning purposes, HF 262 (Jablonski Rodreick BILL) is first on the agenda.
If you haven’t written your emails or called to voice your support….its really time now.

Let me know if you can make it to the meeting…it’d be wonderful to outnumber those who are opposed this time around.

Thanks for your support

  1. I support the cure for SCI, we need to bring back the lives once lived by the people who’ve benn injured. What do we do when we don’t have 20/20 vision? We get glasses, why couldn’t the same princepals stand for someone with a SCI.

  2. A cure should be brought to life for the people with chronic SCI, nomatter how long their injury has been with them.

  3. I have been emailing Representatives today and I thought I would share what I have been doing.

Subject line: I support the Jablonski/Rodreick Grant Bill

Comments/question line: I sustained a Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) in October 2006. I was sleepwalking and fell off of my bedroom deck. I shattered my T8 vertabrae, leaving me paralyzed from the waist down. I have 3 daughters, whom I believe have been hurt the most. My youngest daughter doesn’t remember playing tag or hide and seek with her mother. My two older daughters have helped me in ways only a mother is supposed to help their children. Keeping Minnesota at the cutting edge of medical innovations and investing in CURES is good health policy. With your help, I will be able to play tag, hug and dance with my family again!!

I hope to see you at the hearing next Wed. Enjoy the weekend!
